ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Rabbits are certainly known for their propensity for multiplying, but one species of jackrabbit is having trouble keeping up. There are an estimated 150 white-sided jackrabbits left in the United States, and federal wildlife officials announced Wednesday they will study the elusive rabbit to determine if it needs to be protected under the Endangered Species Act.

It's not lack of libido that's holding back the white-sided jackrabbit.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says the biggest threat is change to the rabbits' habitat brought on by drought, grazing, the suppression of wildfire and the encroachment of shrubs into the Chihuahuan grasslands of New Mexico's bootheel – the only place in the United States where the jackrabbit has been documented. Wildfire helps keep shrubs in check and revitalizes grasslands, which the rabbits depend on.

The rabbit also lives in Mexico, and those populations have also declined, said Nicole Rosmarino, a biologist with the Western environmental group WildEarth Guardians.

Rosmarino said the existing pressures on the white-sided jackrabbit likely will worsen. Forecasters predict extended and more-frequent periods of drought in the Southwest because of climate change.

The Fish and Wildlife Service says it's uncertain how climate change will affect the jackrabbit and its habitat, but it plans to look more closely at the potential impact during its 12-month review.

After the review, the agency will decide whether the rabbit warrants protection as an endangered or threatened species. In New Mexico, the rabbit has been listed as a state endangered species since 1975.

"The rabbit has cleared the first hurdle toward federal protection, so that's good news," Rosmarino said.

The Fish and Wildlife Service's decision to review the rabbit is the result of a petition and lawsuit filed by environmentalists.

The rabbit's name comes from a conspicuous white area along its body, most noticeable when the rabbit runs. The jackrabbits, usually seen in pairs, mate for life. While they can produce several litters a year, the litters are usually small – between one and three young.

The rabbit's large ears and long limbs are disproportionate to its body, creating more surface area to help the animal dissipate the heat that's part of living in the desert.

Besides the white-sided jackrabbit, WildEarth Guardians is seeking protections for other species, including the Sonoran desert tortoise. The Fish and Wildlife Service has yet to issue a finding on that species, but WildEarth Guardians says the tortoises' numbers have also been cut in half in recent decades.

As Rosmarino points out, Wednesday's decision by the agency puts the rabbit ahead of the tortoise, in both species' race to avoid extinction.

Anger Management: The Best Way To Not Become A Bomb

Everyone gets mad. Its human nature to get mad. But when, how, and why your mad depends on the actual person. Some people hold it in and get over it while some explode after a bad joke. So I've came up with a system to help people get over their anger much quicker. But remember that this system won't help everyone so you cant rely on this as your only source of answers.

1. Get away from whatever is making you angry. Whether it may be your parents, boyfriend/girlfriend, best friend, etc., take a break and leave the room. This can give you time to think of why your angry.

2. Concentrate on something soothing. A relaxing beach or a waterfall or your favorite animal or person is sure to help angry feelings abide until you deal with them. If this doesn't work, try exercising to help relieve stress and it mad turn out that you wasn't as mad as you thought.

3. If you have to, call someone so you can vent about why your angry. If u have a chance to speak these feelings aloud, you will start to feel the effects almost immediately.

4. If its a person your mad at, confront them after you have calmed down. Tell them exactly what they did that upset you. It may help you to tell them why it upset you and how you both can avoid this conflict in the future.

5. Write your feelings down. If it was a person that upset you, write it as a letter, seal it, and put it where no one can find it. That way when the time comes for you to confront this person, you can either talk it out or let them view it as you did when you wrote your letter.

6. If your feeling violent then breathe and count to 10. then calmly have someone leave the room with you and go somewhere where they can hold a pillow for u while you punch it. Or gently wrestle with them until your tired or calm enough to come back to the area or talk to the person that made you angry.

7. If your angry from stress or being over worked, take a break and relax. Take a day to yourself to do what YOU want. You could go shopping or hang with friends or go visit family. As long as it takes your mind off whats causing you stress.

8. If its from lack of sleep then you have to make time to go to sleep. To be fully rested, you must be comfortable as you sleep and not be disturbed. Try to get at least 6 to 7 hours of sleep. Try to have the lights off and to sooth you, play some music. Whatever helps to put you into a deep sleep.

9. If your upset because of someone bullying you, confront this person. Pull them off to the side and tell them how their making you feel. If its in the work place, have a supervisor be in the room but not intervene unless its appropriate or needed. If is in your neighborhood, take the same steps but with their parents. If this doesn't work, consider distancing yourself away from them to give them less of a chance to mess with you. If all else fails then you may want to consider talking to the police to reduce the chance of a fight. (but if you can beat them up then do so)

10. And finally (and my personal favorite), laugh. Just laugh it all off. It don't mater if you have someone to laugh with, as long as you have a good, ginuwine chuckle. It helps to shrug some stress off along with anger. And who can stay mad through a laugh, right?

Dea Shark left in Miami street after failed sale

MIAMI – The body of a shark was left lying in the middle of a downtown Miami street after two men tried to sell it to several fish markets.

The men apparently carried the five or six-foot-long fish around on the city's Metromover downtown train, prompting calls to police.

News footage Tuesday night showed the dead animal in the street with police officers and cruisers nearby. Two stations reported that a pair of men had tried to sell the animal to at least three fish markets for around $10.

Rob Orta, an employee at Casablanca Fish Market, told television station WSVN that the men offered his business the shark.

"But we don't buy sharks off the street," Orta told the station.

Wildlife officials later determined the animal was a nurse shark. The case could result in misdemeanor charges of improper killing and disposal of an animal and selling a shark without a license.

One resident of the area where the shark was dumped said he didn't know what was going on at first.

"It was a relief that it was a shark," said Keith Smith. "When I first saw it, I thought it was a body because of all the shootings that have been going on."

Hello to all. This Wally World is going to be a lil different from the last ones I've did. This time I want to give out some tips on how to avoid financial difficulty when it comes to dealing with checking accounts. Recently I had a friend who woke me up outta my sleep( I was hella pissed) crying about her account being in the negative outta no where. I asked her had she used her debit card, wrote a check, or bought anything on the Internet. She told me that all she uses her check for is to pay her bills over the phone. I REPLIED- "THATS IT!!!!!!!!!!!" When u have certain money taken outta your account by a debit card, you have given that person or company, access to your account. They can debit money out whenever it is convenient for them.
So I picked her up and took her to the bank and she told them that the money wasn’t suppose to be taken out until a certain date. The bank explain that they can do nothing since the transaction already went through. She was totally hysterical so I wrote her a check to bring her account out of the negative. I took her back home and begin to realize that a lot of people( especially young people) make mistakes with banks. What people fail to realize is that the bank is a business that is trying to make money. They will charge you a negative balance charge QUICK AS HELL. Many banks claim that they will charge you after one day of your account being in the negative, but here is what they don’t tell you. They don’t tell you that your negative fee charge depends on how often your account goes in the negative. I have a checking account at the same bank as a friend and his account stay in the negative and mine does not. The bank will waits a whole day to charge him a negative fee because they make money off him all the time. If I write a check that’s no good or use my card and overdraft, they are going to charge me a soon as it happens or they wait a while then charge me outta the blue once I think I didnt get charged. What I’m trying to get at is, the bank is gonna find a way to make money off yo ass one way or another. Look at it like this, if you put something like your furniture in somebody house to sit, eventually they gonna want you to pay them for it being there. They bank feels the same way about your money. I know someone who is reading this has either called or went to the bank only to find out your account is in the negative. That’s the worst feeling in the world. have you ever wonder how does a place make money that only holds money??? If you could make money by holding it then I would be rich cause Id open a bank. Here are 6 ways to protect your money in ANY bank.

1. Use only a debit card. They want you to fuck up wit a check. That’s why they take the money out at different times.
2. Don’t put your debit card number online unless its used on a MAJOR retailer's website. A lot of scams get card number from PayPal so watch that
3. Check your account daily a watch EVERY penny. (check in the mourning and before you go to bed)
4. Don’t keep all your money at one bank, have multiple checking accounts at different banks.
5. Enroll in Overdraft Protection Programs as soon as you open your account.
6. Pay your bills in cash if possible

And here is a word to the wise- DONT curse the bank out or the people who took the money out your account because they will keep doin it. You cursing them out aint gon get your money back and you will feel even dumber when they CAMLY tell yo ass " THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT"

Former Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick was released from federal custody after spending the last 23 months in prison due to dog fighting charges. Vick will visit with NFL commissioner Rodger Goodell about a possible return to the National Football League. Goodell has not set an exact date on when he will meet with Vick. love? What to do if your relationship is in peril?

We have all heard of many people say how their relationship is in trouble and they don't know what to do. A lot of times the first thing a friend tells them is to give them space and maybe they will come around. Others would tell you that you and your other should just argue, fuck, and get over your problems. Now most of the time these two would work but they don't fix the problem. That's because a relationship is more like a war. Its always one side trying to gain a little more control than the other side. But in order for this relationship to work, both parties must be willing to sacrifice, compromise, and make boundaries because fighting then sex will do nothing more than make y'all look like a scene from Baby Boy. So I've came up with a system to help get a potential failure back on track. But remember, this may or may not work for everyone so don't rely on this as your only source of answers. It may be time to let him/her go and move on.


1. Give each other some space. This doesn't actually mean stop talking to each other completely. Try to limit the time you and him/her talk and see each other but don't bring up the problem yet.

2.Specify when and where you him/her and can talk about it and be comfortable. If you have to, have a mutual friend serve as a moderator so it can flow smoothly and without flare ups of anger.

3. Try not to bring up past events. By this I mean if he started hanging with his boys and y'all talked it out, don't bring it up again to make your argument look better.

4. Stay on topic. If you start on her hair, don't work your way down to be mad about her knees.

5. If you have to, write down things you may want to ask so that you don't interrupt each other. It doesn't help make the argument easier and it causes each other to lose the train of thought.

6. Try to keep your hormones in check. It will not help if the whole time he/she pissed and yelling and you about to go masturbate because it made you horny.

7. If both of you have anger problems or are just plain crazy then it mite be best to handle this over the phone or in public with the mutual friend.

8. Don't go telling your problems to all your friends. Most of the time (if not all), they don't know how to help, don't care to help, want you and your spouse to break up, or is just telling you something to get you out they ear. Remember, what may work for them, may not work for you.

9. It doesn't help to stop caring altogether about the problem. It will still be there and will not have changed one bit.

10. And finally, don't put it out where everyone can see it (i.e. facebook, myspace, twitter, black planet, etc). That just leaves you open to all types of criticism and will not do well for the relationship. Especially if its where your spouse can see it.

Using these tips could at least help bring a relationship back on speaking terms and could provide quite a come back for you and your half. Anything that has also worked for you or that i didn't touch on would be appreciated for the readers. Peace out

Janet Jackson has put her bid in for custody of the late singer, Michael's, three children.

Michael allegedly discussed his wishes for his children with Janet before his passing. The singer was even planning to draft a new will with different custody details in relation to Paris, 12, Prince MIchael I, 11, and Price Michael II, seven, in the event he passed, according to ContactMusic.com.

An unidentified source said: "There was a lot of rifts in the family, but Janet was the one person he spoke to regularly and he made sure the children kept in touch with her too.

"Ultimately, he wanted Janet to look after the children, with help from his mother Katherine, and was planning to draft a new will to reflect those wishes. He trusted Janet implicitly.

"When he had health concerns, he had a talk with Janet about how much she meant to him and the children, and how if anything happened to him, he wanted her to make sure the children would be loved and cared for in the same way he was raising them. She told him of course she would."

Michael's most recent will was written in 2002 and named the family matriarch, Katherine, as the guardian. However, Janet, who took the children to the family home to gather their belongings after the singer's death last month, has the support of her siblings to take custody of the children.

When Can Michael Jackson Rest In Peace?

I know this is a question that has been asked one too many times but seriously…WHEN? Everywhere you look around there has always got to be somebody who craves to give his or her horrid ass input on an issue. “Michael Jackson is a child molester”, “Michael Jackson’s a crackhead”, and so on. The only response I have to the raw talkers out there is…”SO FUCKIN WHAT”. This man hasn’t been deceased for a good moment yet and people are still expressing their hatred for the late king of pop. The endless gossip is getting on my nerves personally.
I’m pretty sure everyone has an idea who Bill O’Reilly is right?…neither do I, but recently this guy took his useless time to disrespect Michael on his show, The O’Reilly Factor. Comments of the mourning for MJ stated by O’Reilly are as followed:

“The adulation must stop. It is basically grandstanding and pathetic in the extreme. Yes, the man was an all-star entertainer, but that’s it. Enough with the phony platitudes. His incredible selfishness spending hundreds of millions of dollars on himself while singing We Are The World should make any clear thinking American nauseous. Jackson’s interaction with children were unacceptable for any adult."



I guess this guy thinks he has balls. We all know, when it comes time for Mr. O’Reilly to die, there will be little to none of the disrespectful opinions expressed during his mourning on public television. Reason being that it’s just how life deals its cards to black men.

Upon hearing that NFL star Steve McNair was murdered by his girlfriend on the side (Sahel Kazemi ), I thought about how often it is for something like this to happen. McNair suffered two gunshot wounds to the head and two to the chest. Kazemi made a decision to take her own life after she had taken Steve’s. It’s 2009 and women are always on the upgrade when it comes to dealing with us men. But in Kazemi’s case, she did it the old Iraqi terrorist way. Sahel is…as many of you have already guessed…of Iran origin. Police officials are further investigating this tragedy and the input from McNair’s wife, Michelle, has yet to be heard.

Michael Jackson Memorial Service beng held Today

A memorial service is being held for the King of Pop today at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Fans will get a chance to pay their respects to Jackson during the service starting at 1 pm ET. Jackson's family held a private service yesterday. Michael Jackson will go down as the greatest entertainer in the history of music. The world has lost not only a great entertainer, but a generous man who gave to many causes. Don't feel sorry today that Michael is gone, simply rejoice and celebrate his life for what it is an forever will be- EXTRAORDINARY

Wally World- What Do Women Want???- Baby Mama Drama

Today’s world has seen a change in what women want. Women’s wants have drastically changed throughout the 20th Century and early into the 21st Century. I have been paying attention to women’s actions over the past few weeks and decided to do a series of Wally World’s about these issues titled What Do Women Want. I recently became a father of a beautiful baby girl three months ago. My daughter is with me everyday and whether or not here mother and I get along I’m still there. I noticed that I am a rarity in the world. Many young father walk out on there children or put themselves first. Does that mean that many males or selfish or does it mean they are too immature to put the difference they have with their mothers child behind them. I think its both. Now ladies, I know that there are some dead beat ass, nothing ass guys out there. But at the same time you have to realize that there are some RUTHLESS, DUMB ASS FEMALES out there as well. Many of these females (though) they deny it, get pregnant on purpose to keep a man around which is sad. I’ve noticed that many females don’t learn from other females mistakes. Here are a few examples

1. The next time you see this n public or at school pay attention- A group of girls (2 or more) and one of them is pregnant. 9 times out of 10, the other girls in that group are going to get pregnant (accept for the one who sleeps wit all her friends boyfriends)
2. The dude she messing wit already have a kid that he aint taken care of, but she still let him raw dog it.
3. A guy is labeled as a hoe, but she in love wit him4. My favorite- The dude aint working or going to school. (And she thinking bout thinking bout taken him to court to pay child support. SMH)Now fellas, don’t be naive, if you aint doing everything that your baby’s mother want you to do, then trust me, every chance that her and her friends talk or together, they probably wearing yo ass out. But hey you don’t care, but trust me here are some reasons you should
1. You women plus here friends gone put in your child’s mind that you aint NOTHIN. Then ya kid gone think that
2. Yo ass is gone pay child support. Her friend’s gone push for it like they got something coming.
3. Word gone spread that you aint taking care of yo kids which me no other women will deal wit you.

Not all women are like this. There are a handful of good ones out there. However you do have the crazy and stupid ones who gone irk yo ass for the next 18 years. The messed up part about this is no matter how hard you try, if you don’t do one thing that a women wants they label you a dead beat. Fellas your best bet is to be involved with your child from an early age and make a relationship with them so they can trust you. But hey it’s just a thought.

Opinion of the Day- Sarah Palin

Recently resigned Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin has caught my attention. Her recent resignation has raised many eyebrows and have many wondering whether or not she is postioning herself for a 2012 Presidential run. All I can say is- I HOPE NOT. I believe that Palin is the reason that John McCain came up so short in the 2008 Presidential race, not saying that I believe that he would have won anyway. Palin's beliefs and views on key issues really are 20th century. America does not need a leader who cannot even name an American magizine. Bush, but honestly I think he is smarter. Although Palin has many flaws, she more than likely will be a strong contender to recieve the GOP's nomination of President in 2012.

President Works Out Deal With Russia

Today, president Obama met with Russia Prime Minister Dmirty Medvedev. Both have agreed to sign a framework to lower the number of nuclear warheads (to a maximum of 1675) during the next seven year. This comes after Russia agreed to allow the U.S to fly troops and war supplies over Russian land in order to aid in the War on Terror in Afghanistan. President Obama is clearly making a valid effort to improve U.S- Russian relations which have deteriorated over the past few years during the Bush administration.

Rasheed Wallace Commits to Celtics

Free Agent PF/C Rasheed Wallace has reached a verbal agreement to play for the Boston Celtics. Wallace, who spent the last five seasons with the Detroit Pistons is considered by many analysts to be the missing piece to the Celtics puzzle. Hoops Hype.com reported that Kevin Garnett and 3 Celtic officials went to visit Wallace at his Michigan home. Wallace will be paid the mid level exception at 5.8 million dollars over the next two years.

The 4th of July weekend was a good weekend for the Words For Thought company. The company can officially began without worrying about finding a leader. Jhimere Craigen has been hired as the site and companies new (and 1st) CEO. Jhimere is the man running the show and hopes to bring his own creative style and swag to the company. The company welcomes Jhimere who is a Business major at Eastern Illinois University.

TOLD YALL!!! BET apologizes for Lil Wayne and Drake Performance

During Drakes and Lil Wayne performance at the 2009 BET Awards, many did not take notice to the fact that the two hip hop stars had under-age girls on stage while they preformed. The young girls were on stage while Lil Wanye used explicit lyrics. BET has apologized for this tasteless and almost unnoticed act. We got scared at Words For Thought because we thought we was the only ones who noticed it.

Former NFL Quarterback Steve McNair was murdered in Nashville, TN this afternoon. Steve McNair was known as one of the best QBs during his time in the NFL. McNair won the 2003 NFL MVP award and led the Tennessee Titans to Super Bowl XXXIV. McNair spent most of his career with the Titans, and spent the final two years of his career with the Baltimore Ravens. Stay posted, more info soon.
