Vision

Do you have a vision? If not, you need to have one. Or should I say, have some?

It is with a vision that we are able to not only know our direction but have direction at all. With it, we know: what we want, where to (go) get it, who has it, how to obtain it, and what we will do with it once it is obtained. AKA--The 411. The, "Who, what, what, when, why, where, and how". A vision is not for seeing into the future, but it is to be put to use NOW. Get the ball rolling, and mark items off of your checklist. Now, this not merely a plan. A plan is what you have in mind, what you write down. A vision is your sight; sight that becomes ACTION. Make it happen. Make it happen now.

Potential. Potential. Potential. Ugh. Let's throw potential out the window of the 20th floor. Do you forever want to be known as the one who "always had good potential"? To have potential is all fine and good but what are you doing with it? Potential means "possible". For example, choosing a date, beau, girlfriend, mate. Those who are "possible" or "could be" are tagged as "potentials", right? Don't allow your dreams and goals to have just potential. With a vision, that mere potential becomes action. And with vision you are then able to head in the right direction to obtain whatever it is you seek.

Here are some key points to remember:

1) Vision will be blurry when there is no start point.

2) Your vision will not be, if you are not moving.
**Things do not get done by staring at them and willing yourself in your mind to do them. That novel for class doesn't get read by staring at it. That 50 page thesis will not, I promise you, it will NOT write itself. Don't just open your eyes to see, open your mind. Any dream or goal is possible if you envision it.

3) You are not a failure and you do not fail until you give up.

4) A mistake does not become an error until you refuse to fix it.

So, so what! If you need to go back to the drawing board a couple times. So what! If you have to re-order a couple things. So what! If you lose some support. So what! If others don't see your vision. IT'S YOUR VISION!! This vision should be what YOU want to obtain for YOU; not for any and everyone else. You have to be #1 on your list. If you aren't, the more you put above yourself, the lower you get, and the further away your vision gets.

So if you don't have a vision, get one. If you don't have vision period, get some.

Don't just make it happen. Make it happen NOW.
